Games and simulations can integrate real-life scenarios and feature diverse role models, inspiring girls to imagine themselves in STEM careers they may not have previously considered. Games that incorporate female scientists, engineers, or historical figures allow girls to see themselves reflected in these roles, sparking interest and showing that STEM is relevant to their lives. Teachers can use simulations like "Labster" or "Mystery Science," where students can conduct virtual experiments or solve science-related mysteries guided by animated mentors, including female scientists. This not only makes STEM topics relatable but also demonstrates the impact of STEM work in real-world scenarios.

Use case studies and project-based learning to connect STEM concepts to real-world issues that students care about. For example, design projects related to environmental sustainability, healthcare, or social justice, where STEM skills can be used to create positive change. This helps students see the relevance of STEM in addressing pressing social problems and encourages them to use their skills to make a difference in their communities.
