Design a STEM innovation

Objective:

To encourage creativity and critical thinking while showing that innovation is for everyone
To show students that anyone, regardless of gender, can be an innovator in STEM and contribute valuable solutions to real-world issues.

Description:

Divide students into groups and provide them with a common real-world problem to solve (sustainable energy, accessible technology).
Each group must brainstorm and design an innovative solution, focusing on STEM concepts. They can sketch, build a prototype, or even create a digital model.
To emphasize inclusivity, students are encouraged to consider how their solution can serve diverse communities and break down gender barriers.
Groups present their innovations, discussing how they envision it could change lives and encourage more diverse participation in STEM.
